My Vet in Dallas suggested that I try giving my very senior cat Bud (25 years old) Novifit S in an attempt to stem some of the recurring and intensifying symptoms of advanced age dementia (prolonged pacing and vocalizing, moments of disorientation and anxiety, etc.) and I have to say that I`m seeing measurable improvement in his overall mental and emotional demeanor. Some of the troubling symptoms still pop up during the day, but they are very short now instead of prolonged, and he has ceased the constant frantic pacing from room to room (sometimes for hours at a time during previous `bad spells`) I know that because of his rapidly diminishing kidney functions (I hydrate him under the skin almost every day which makes him much more calm and comfortable) that we are on borrowed time at best, but the Novifit S seems to have had a cumulative effect that greatly improves his overall well-being. He has even begun to relax and cuddle with me in bed again, which is wonderful. I`m going to continue his daily regimen of one small Novifit S tab and hope that he responds as he has thus far--by seeming to be far more `present` and free of panic attacks than he was prior to using the drug. Hope this info helps others who may also be at their wit`s end with similar mental complications related to a senior pet.
